THE EFFECT OF MONETARY POLICY ON POVERTY IN GORONTALO (A LITERATURE REVIEW)

Poverty is still a big problem in Indonesia, especially in Gorontalo,although various economic policies including monetary policy have been carried out to overcome this problem. In maintaining economic stability and reducing poverty, monetary policy plays an important role in dealing with this, but the results depend on regional conditions and require in-depth attention. This study aims to evaluate the effect of monetary policy on poverty in Gorontalo by conducting a literature review. Therefore, this study will identify the main themes related to the relationship between monetary policy and poverty. The results of the analysis show that monetary policy can help address poverty issues by regulating
interest rates, inflation, and providing access to credit. Followed by the impact of the policy depends on the regional economic situation, including the agricultural industry and MSMEs in Gorontalo. The results also state that digital technology is also a major factor in increasing the pool of people who can access financial services and expanding the reach of monetary policy. This research suggests that financial policies should be regulated in accordance with regional conditions and increase public
understanding of financial literacy to increase policy effectiveness in overcoming poverty problems in Gorontalo.
