Abstract

This Community Service aims to see to what extent the use of simple teaching aids can encourage the growth of creativity in early childhood in kindergarten. This service involves direct observation of how children interact with teaching aids as well as in-depth discussions with teachers. These results show that simple props such as natural materials, cardboard and plasticine are very effective in awakening children's imagination and creativity. Props help children grasp abstract concepts, improve their motor and cognitive abilities, and encourage them to socialize and work together. Various creative activities such as producing works of art from natural materials, building various shapes from cardboard, or acting as certain characters using simple materials can be done using props. Apart from that, in this service you can also see how important the role of educators and parents is in providing positive support and appreciation to foster children's creativity. Overall, the use of simple teaching aids is an effective approach in developing creativity in early childhood and needs to be implemented more widely in teaching and learning activities in Kindergarten.
